The newly released

My worst date ever was with a guy I met from a dating website. I had to pick him up, later to find out because he lost his license to a DUI. He told me over dinner how he had just been released from prison the week before for theft charges. He even asked me to drive him to his probation office the next day. Needless to say I cut dinner short and never spoke to him again.

When I started dating Andrew, we didn’t spend a whole lot of time together, but he seemed great. After awhile, we started dating very seriously and I would regularly spend nights at his house. This is how I discovered that he had some issues to work out before being ready for a relationship. After calling me one night because he had drunkenly locked himself out of his house, I helped him inside and witnessed a bizarre series of events. In his drunken state, he fell down into the floor, demanded that I retrieve him a hamburger from wherever was still open at 2am, and when I refused he asked his dog why I was mad at him. He continued a conversation with his dog until he began to cry. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly impressed and the relationship didn’t last very much longer after that night.

Some guy I had a crush on all 4 years of high school finally asked me out on a date. I was so excited, I was telling friends and family about the good news, and losing sleep over it every night from the excitement! We talked for a week, until it was the night of our date. We planned out that he was going to pick me up at 8, and we would go for a dinner and a movie. I was looking very forward to this because I have liked this guy for so long. So we went out to a very fancy restaurant, the date was going great! I couldnt of asked for it to go any better! We were at the restaurant for about an hour before his phone rang off the hook! Every time he answered the call, and it sounded like he was fighting with his mom or something. I thought it was very rude he would even answer the phone during our date, let alone fight with someone for 25 minutes right in front of me! Anyway, so after we got done eating we left and we were on our way to the movie. His phone rang about 3 more times and he ignored it. I was extremely surprised when we did not pull into the movies, but we pulled into some random drive way that I didn’t even know. A girl our age came out and him and her started fighting, and she looked at me and got me involved by calling me very rude names, saying I was trying to take her boyfriend! I asked him what was going on and it turned out that was his girlfriend, and he asked me out on a date to get her jealous because they were fighting! I had to get my own ride home from her house.

Too Touchy

I was out with a friend from college who had come to visit me for the weekend. Excited to catch up, we went to the bar to have just a couple drinks. Chatting away, my friend and I were soon joined by two guys who came over saying they were bored with their regular friends. We, being friendly, scooted over to let them join and to see what this conversation was going to be like. One guy sat next to me and quickly began telling me about his life, undergrad degree, and research he was interested in. While what he was saying was vaguely interested, I could not help but be extremely distracted by his incessant touching. He went from my arm, to my lower back, to my shoulder, and one even my cheek. I was feeling very uncomfortable and tried sending very clear body signals that he should stop like flinching, scooting away from him, and so on. Not really getting the hint, the guy carried on. Finally, I worked up my nerve and told him he must stop. “I am interested in what you are saying but I am not really touchy feely and you are making me so uncomfortable,” I stated to this stranger. Offended by my obvious overreaction (or what he thought) to his invasion of personal space, he stomped off after telling me I was weird for not liking to be touched.

I had met this man online and we met up for dinner. Everything was going fine so we decided to go back to his hotel (he was from out of town). We decided to go swimming. Somehow the drain got turned on when we got in and my top ripped off. One of the hotel’s staff showed up right then when I was half naked climbing out of the pool. My date’s response? He asked if the employee would have sex with someone like me. My response was to shove him into the pool and leave.

I would consider myself a pretty attractive guy. I have no problem picking up women or getting a date but sometime my work schedule is crazy. For one business proposal I had to leave the country for about 2 months, flying back and forth from Japan. I never had time for dates. After coming home , my friends told me they had a nice blind date for me. Usually there taste in women is similar to mine so I thought why not. I couldn’t have been more wrong. When I picked this girl up she was dressed horrible. Her hair was all over and I don’t even know what she was wearing. Her face was pretty and her body was my type but everything else just screamed disaster to me. So she gets in the car and says hello. She has the raspiest man voice I’ve ever heard on a woman. I asked if she was joking around, she wasn’t and right then it got off to a bad start. At the restaurant this girl just sat and drank everything. She had at least 6 drinks in her by the time the food came and she was drunk. She kept telling me she was going to take me back to my place and have her way. I said that’s not happening. She then got up in a drunken rage and started crying in the middle of the restaurant. The she slammed her plate on the floor. Food was everywhere. I got up and left. I left the girl right on the floor of the restaurant. I immediately got in my car and went straight to my friends house. When I got there they were all laughing because they knew what they had done. One of my friends had met the girl in a bar and knew she was crazy. They thought it would be hilarious to stick me with her. To this day I still haven’t got them back.

Walmart Dating

I started talking to this guy through a popular online dating site and everything was going great. He was cute and had a great personality. We talked on the phone and agreed to meet up at Walmart before going out somewhere else. I got to Walmart before him and was about to leave when he finally showed up. He looked nothing like his photograph, about 50 lbs more and a lot less hair. He suggested we walk around the store for a little and decide where to go. I agreed and we walked around Walmart for the next 20 minutes as he told me random facts about himself and made creepy passes at me. When we got outside the store, I was ready to go home, but he wanted to do something else. He told me he didn’t have any money though, and suggested that we go parking instead. I told him that I was too tired to go anywhere and left. Never to contact him again.

WORST Date EVER!

My best friend set me up with an acquaintance from work. She explained him to me and i said he sounds pretty good, so sure I’ll go on a date with him if he’s willing. Two days later, I get a phone call from the guy. He tells me it would be nice to go on a date with me so we made plans to go out the Saturday night coming up. Saturday comes a long, he picks me up and we go to a restaurant in New York City. We started talking and everything was going good.. until he asks me about my ex. So I tell him why we broke up etc. He then proceeds to tell me that he was a jerk and was stupid to let me go. I was thinking “man this guy is really nice”. Suddenly, I feel something touching my leg under the table. I look up at him and he smiles and tells me he’s a stripper and that we should get out of here and have some fun. I got up and ran out the restaurant. Appalled, I call my friend and tell her what happened, she was surprised to here that and apologized like crazy. All I could think of was thank God we didn’t even kiss because God only knows what he had. NEVER AGAIN will I allow my friends or anyone for that matter to set me up with anyone under any circumstances and I don’t care if he’s the President’s son, I will NOT agree to any more blind dates especially after the “lovely” experience I had that Saturday night. And I will not ever forget that date for as long as I live and neither will my friend because I still complain about it till today.

The Creepy Doctor

I guess my first mistake was meeting a guy on myspace. You live and learn. 5’10” turned out to be 5’4″ with lifts in his shoes and the thick curly hair from his 10 year old picture must have fallen out of his head and multiplied on the visible parts of his body. He literally had a sweater growing out of his t shirt. Looks aren’t everything but sadly the personality was not much better. He made a point of mentioning that he was a doctor repeatedly and that he drive a BMW. Bully for you but enough bragging. He made a big deal that he’d be buying the drinks, and I could “wink wink” (he actually said wink wink) pay him back later. He actually had the nerve to put his hand on my thigh after this. Now, I know, myspace, but my profile wasn’t racy in the least and stayed that I was a kindergarten teacher at a Catholic school so I don’t think I had this coming. I paid him back by excusing myself to the bathroom. I then excused myself all the way to my car and home. I blocked him from my account. Now I know never use myspace as a dating site.

No, I SWEAR I’m not a Stalker!!

I was managing a restaurant in Paramus on a Saturday afternoon and a beautiful girl was there. After spending some time at the table doing my job (chatting with the customers), she left … but came back to give me her number. Awesome! I quickly realized that I lost the number. The whole waitstaff is tearing the place apart trying to find it, all for naught. Like a lunatic – and on a summer day – I returned the next day with a mask, protective suit, and gloves and go dumpster diving for about half an hour. This was right next to the train platform, so everyone got to see me diving through the dumpster like a maniac. Sadly, the number did not turn up. However, I did know where she worked; at a school. There were only four schools in the city so I drove to each one, asking around. Oddly enough, what I thought would be considered embarrassing was warmly received by the staff members. On the fourth attempt, I finally found the right school. The principal was not terribly happy with my quest, but I managed to convince her that I am not a sociopath and she agreed to pass on my number. I soon got a phone call and we agreed to meet but on top of her being extremely skittish about showing up (she was scared I was a stalker) and just a horrible chemistry, the date went south even quicker than I would have imagined.
