breakup

I was 18 years old and in my very first relationship. The person I was dating was a year older than I was. Neither of us drove. He lived in the next town. A mutual friend would actually drive us on our dates and we frequently double dated with her. One day, after going to see a movie, my boyfriend thought a romantic place to go would be the McDonalds inside of a walmart. It was not my ideal spot but we all humored him. After he spent a lot of time complaining about his McDonalds not being served to him on the spot and the amount of fries he received my friend and I walked around. He was being a baby and kind of a douche-bag, so we actually left him at Walmart. It was sadly about a forty minute drive away from his hometown. (We basically lived in the middle of no where.) After we left him, we called his mom and told him what he had done and that we had left him there. And his parents had to go and pick him up. We broke up shortly after. Our entire relationship lasted about three months.

Kissing Cousins

I was a late bloomer. I was so excited to finally have a boyfriend. Everything was going great for the first few dates. Things were getting pretty hot and we where both into each other. Then he suddenly broke it off. I found out later that we were third cousins. His parents told him and that’s why he ended things. How embarrassing. I guess if I went to family reunions, I’d have know this.

Why I ordered 100 beers

When I was in college I dated a girl for a 2 months, she didn’t see a future in it so she dumped me. Then about 6 weeks later I ran into her in a bar. We got to talking and dancing, then while on the dance floor she grabbed me pushed me up against the wall and tried to remove my tonsils with her tongue. Well her friends had to go so we agreed to go to a movie in 2 days. I picked her up and she barely spoke but we went to the movie anyway, about half way through I went to put my arm around her and she got up and moved over 2 seats. Well I decided to cut my losses, when the movie ended I walked outside and said have a good life and left her standing out in front of the theater. I walked around the corner to my favorite bar where it was nickle draw night and slapped down a fiver on the bar and said give me 100 beers. I then called 3 of my buddies and commenced to drink all 100 beers while discussing the complexities of women.

Deja Vu

It had been a while since my boyfriend and I split up and eventually I began to search for someone else to date. I had recently made a new friend I met through work and she said she had the perfect guy for me to date. She didn’t give me any specifics, she claimed it was going to be a blind date. I had never been on one of those before but, I was excited none the less. Well, I showed up for the blind date wondering what to expect. I certainly didn’t expect my ex to walk in being led by my new friend. It turns out he was to be my date for the night.

My Best friend in the world knew that we both had a thing for each other, But we hid it from everyone by covering it up with having a significant other of our own. We still talked and hung out, plus we are both DJ’s and we had many gigs together. Until one strange day last January, My Significant other at the time had left some information on my laptop that made me suspect he was cheating on me. I was with my best friend, getting ready for a gig and i called him. I asked him if it was true and he told me it was. Not even ten minutes later, My best friends Girlfriend told him that she was also cheating on him. Me and My Best friend/current boyfriend have been together a year now. Thank you cheating losers for bringing us together!

David was a great kisser. He really knew how to pull you in close and give you a passionate, roll your eyes to the back of the head kiss. Heck even my mom was jealous when she saw us sucking face in her living room. David made a lot of promises that a naive 18 yr old girl about to graduate from high school would fall for. Especially one who had a bad complexion, thick glasses and an introverted personality. With his dark curly hair, solid build, and olive skin most girls would drool. add to that he promised we could go over his aunt’s horse farm after prom. What girl’s jaw wouldn’t drop. Alas, David was a lady’s man and his promises were mere pipe dreams. He “fell in love” with someone else a week or so later and I ended up asking a friend to prom instead…a friend who eventually became my husband of 15 years. So girls keep your chins up. If the first fish gets away keep fishing because there’s plenty more.

A couple of years ago I got out of a horrible relationship. The relationship lasted 3 years so I was pretty bummed when I was dumped. I decided to start dating again so I recruited all my friends to find me single men. This was a huge mistake, as some of my friends have completely different tastes in men than I do. I went on at least twenty dates, and they all became a blur until the very last one. My friend Cara set me up with her older brother’s roommate, Travis. She told me he was tall and had dark hair, which I’m attracted to tall, dark, and handsome men. I agreed to meet him at the Rec Plex to go ice skating. I drove up to the Rec Plex and waited for Travis by the entry as we planned. I saw someone drop this awkwardly lanky guy off. He had a baby blue scarf and a hat with the ball at the end of it. I thought, ladies and gentlemen we have a winner, as he shook my hand vigorously and mumbled “Travis”. You see Travis was nervous about the date, but he was more nervous about ice skating. He said “I’ve never been ice skating before, and I’ll end up in the emergency room. There will be blood everywhere.” I told him hew was overreacting and to try. We made it one lap and he slipped. A little girl skates right over his hand. I gasped. He was in the fetal position on the ice. We had to rush him to the hospital. The whole ride there he was crying and saying he was right. I felt terrible. When we got to the ER, the nurse asked me if I was his girlfriend, and I said “Hell no!”

Memorial Day breakup

I thought I met the girl I was going to marry in college. We met during my junior year, her senior year (although she stayed an extra semester). From the beginning our relationship was strong both romantically and emotionally. For 2 years everything went very well. After she finished school, she got a nice job in Manhattan. Nothing major for a while, but all of sudden there were hints things were not right. I figured it was just a hiccup we would work through. We celebrated our 2-year anniversary in April and the sparks were again visible. Then all of sudden, everything sort of plummeted! I had graduated at this point and was planning on looking for a job near where she lived and we would get an apartment together. She however was reluctant and on Memorial Day, we were at a her family party and things were not right. We went for a drive. She broke up with me. The worst part, I was absolutely miserable and had no escape. She drove. I was drinking and she couldn’t take me back to my house on Long Island. I was completely stuck. Lost and wanted to blow up. The absolute worst break up and the worst way and time for anybody to do it. HORRIBLE!

My girlfriend and I split up during the spring. We had dated for three years during college. It was a serious relationship that I thought would last forever. I wanted it to. After the split, communication between us was minimal. I would send texts and emails occasionally professing my feelings, etc. Fast forward to this past summer and things seemed liked they were looking up. We were communicating more frequently and talking about things that we could improve if we were to get back together. One weekend while she was at home with her parents (which was four hours away from my location), we planned to go camping and spend some quality time together. We were to talk about another potential future together. That weekend came and I drove the four hours to see her. I was excited at the idea of talking things out and getting back with her. The first day and night we set up camp and did things together; everything seemed great. It was like old times. The next day we were planning an activity. I took a shower and once I finished she said that I should go home. It caught me off guard as I thought things were looking up. I drove four hours home flabbergasted. She wouldn’t return my calls and I discovered she blocked me from Facebook. All I wanted was a clear explanation. I soon found out that my best friend knew that she was also seeing someone else on the side that I did not know about.

I dated this boy Joe for a few months and all of his previous girlfriends were really uncomfortable with this friend Katie he had. I was more laid back then alot of them and didn’t really seem to think of her as much of an issue. After being the first girl that let him talk to her in a few months he ended up dumping me for her and now they have been dating for half a year.
